Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Wispforge Games collects when you play our games or visit this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Overview

Wispforge Games ("Wispforge", "we", "us" or "our") develops and publishes games for mobile devices and PC. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. This policy applies to our games, our website and our player support channels.

In short: we collect some information directly from you, such as the profile name you choose or the message you send to support, and we generate other information about how you use our games, such as which levels you played and how long a session lasted. We use that information to run and improve our games, to keep them fair and secure, to answer your questions, and — where you have not opted out — to show and measure advertising.

We share personal information with the service providers who help us operate, such as hosting, analytics, support and advertising partners, and with authorities where the law requires it. Some of these partners are located outside your country, and we put safeguards in place when that happens.

You have rights over your personal information, including access, correction, deletion and objection. Section 6 explains how to use them, and Section 7 tells you how to reach us.

If you only read one part of this policy, read Section 6 — Your rights — and Section 7 — Contact and complaints. Those two sections tell you what you can ask us to do and how to ask for it.

1. Personal information we collect

Information you give us

  • Profile information. The display name, avatar and language you choose in a game. You do not need to give us your real name, and we ask you not to put personal details into a public display name.
  • Player support contact. Your email address, the content of your message, and anything you attach — for example a screenshot or a crash description — when you contact support.
  • In-game communication. Messages, team chat and reports you send in games that include social features, together with any content you report to us for moderation.
  • Survey and playtest responses. Answers you give if you choose to take part in an in-game survey, beta programme or playtest session.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and technical data. Device model, operating system and version, language, region, screen resolution, network type, IP address, and device or installation identifiers such as the advertising identifier your platform provides.
  • Gameplay data. Levels started and completed, scores, progression, items and currencies held, session start and end times, features used, settings changed, and similar records of how you play.
  • Diagnostics. Crash reports, error logs, frame-rate and load-time measurements, and other performance data used to find and fix problems.
  • Advertising and attribution data. Which adverts were shown to you in our games, whether you interacted with them, and — where a partner tells us — which advert or campaign led you to install one of our games.
  • Approximate location. A country or region derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
  • Website data. If you visit this website, our hosting provider records standard server information such as your IP address, the pages you requested and the time of the request. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Information we receive from others

  • App stores and platforms. Where you make an in-app purchase, the store confirms the transaction to us — the product bought, the amount, the date and a transaction reference. We never receive your full card number or bank details.
  • Third-party sign-in. If you choose to link a platform account to save your progress, we receive a user identifier and, depending on your settings, a display name and avatar. We do not receive your password.
  • Analytics, advertising and measurement partners. Aggregated or pseudonymised reporting about how our games are performing and how our advertising campaigns are working.

Children

Our games are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the higher age set by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where a game is rated for a general audience, we apply reduced data collection and serve only non-personalised advertising to players identified as children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@wispforgegames.com and we will delete it. We encourage parents and guardians to use the parental controls built into their device and app store.

2. How we use your personal information

We use personal information for the purposes below. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on the performance of our terms of service with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving our games securely, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with our legal obligations.

  • Providing the game. Creating and maintaining your player profile, saving and restoring progress, running matchmaking and leaderboards, and delivering the items you buy.
  • Support. Answering your questions, investigating bugs, restoring lost progress and handling refund requests.
  • Improving our games. Understanding which parts of a game are enjoyable and which are frustrating, balancing difficulty, testing changes, and fixing crashes and performance problems.
  • Analytics and segmentation. Measuring retention, session length and progression, and grouping players into broad segments so we can tailor content and offers.
  • Offers and in-game messaging. Showing you events, rewards and offers inside the game, and sending push notifications if you have enabled them.
  • Advertising. Showing adverts in our free games, measuring whether they were seen, and promoting our games elsewhere. Personalised advertising is used only where you have given permission through your device settings or our consent prompt.
  • Safety, security and fraud prevention. Detecting cheating, exploits, abusive behaviour and fraudulent purchases, and protecting our players and our systems.
  • Legal compliance and enforcement. Meeting our tax, accounting and reporting obligations, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing our terms of service.

3. Who we share your personal information with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only in the situations described here.

  • Other players. Your display name, avatar and scores are visible to other players in games with leaderboards, teams or chat. Anything you post in a public or team channel can be seen by the players in it.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers. Cloud providers that store our data and run our game services on our instructions.
  • Player support tooling. The helpdesk platform we use to receive, track and answer your support messages.
  • Analytics providers. Services that help us measure how our games are used and where they can be improved.
  • Advertising, attribution and measurement partners. Networks that serve adverts in our games, partners that help us promote our games, and measurement providers that tell us which campaigns worked. Section "Advertising and measurement partners" lists the partners we currently work with.
  • Payment and store providers. The app store or platform that processes your purchase. Their handling of your payment details is governed by their own privacy policy.
  • Professional advisers. Auditors, accountants and lawyers, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities. Law enforcement, regulators or courts where we are legally required to disclose information, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of our players.
  • Business transfers. A buyer or investor, if Wispforge Games is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets. We would tell you before your information became subject to a different privacy policy.

When you reach a store, platform or advertiser through one of our games, that company handles your information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

4. Where we process your personal information

Wispforge Games operates internationally, and our staff and service providers are located in several countries, including within the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and the United States. Your personal information may therefore be transferred to, and processed in, a country other than the one you live in.

Where we transfer personal information from the EEA or the UK to a country that has not been recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards — normally the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, together with the UK addendum where relevant, and additional technical and organisational measures where a transfer risk assessment calls for them. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards we use by writing to privacy@wispforgegames.com.

5. How long we keep your personal information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy. In practice that means:

  • Player account and progress data is kept for as long as your account is active, and for up to three years after your last session, after which it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
  • Support correspondence is kept for up to three years after your ticket is closed, so we can handle follow-up questions and recurring issues.
  • Purchase and transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically six to seven years.
  • Security, fraud and enforcement records are kept for as long as needed to protect our players and our services, and to establish or defend legal claims.

When a retention period ends, electronic records are deleted from our live systems and removed from backups on the normal backup rotation. Where deletion is not immediately possible, we isolate the information and protect it from further processing until deletion can take place.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights. We do not charge for exercising them, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.

  • Access. Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and information about how we use it.
  • Correction. Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete your personal information. We may need to keep some of it where the law requires, or to establish or defend legal claims — we will tell you if that applies.
  • Objection and restriction. Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, or ask us to restrict processing while a question about it is resolved.
  • Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent — for example for personalised advertising — you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing that already took place.
  • Portability. Ask for the personal information you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Marketing opt-out. Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the message.

Controls built into your device

  • Advertising identifier. Your device settings let you reset your advertising identifier or refuse tracking, which limits personalised advertising in our games.
  • Push notifications. You can turn notifications for any of our games on or off in your device settings, or in the game's own options screen.
  • Cookies. Our website uses only the cookies strictly necessary to serve the site. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies.
  • Deleting the game. Uninstalling a game stops further collection from that device, but does not by itself delete data already stored on our servers — send us a deletion request for that.

To make a request, email privacy@wispforgegames.com from the address you use with us, or include your in-game player ID so we can find the right account. We may ask for further information to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time the applicable law allows — normally one month.

7. Contact and complaints

If you have a question about this policy or about how we handle your personal information, contact us:

  • Privacy and data requests: privacy@wispforgegames.com
  • Player support: support@wispforgegames.com
  • General enquiries: hello@wispforgegames.com
  • Postal address: Wispforge Games, Attn: Data Protection, 14 Foundry Lane, London, United Kingdom

We would like the chance to resolve any concern directly, so please come to us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence, place of work, or the place where you believe the issue occurred.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our games, our partners or the law change. The current version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Where a change is significant, we will give you additional notice — for example a message inside the game or an email — before it takes effect. Continuing to play our games after a change takes effect means the updated policy applies to you.

Advertising and measurement partners

Our free-to-play games are supported by advertising. The partners below may receive device and advertising identifiers, approximate location, and information about the adverts shown to you, in order to serve, cap and measure advertising. Each partner publishes its own privacy policy, which you can find on that company's website; the list is reviewed and updated as our partners change.

Google AdMob and Google Ad Manager
Meta Audience Network
Unity Ads and Unity LevelPlay

If you have not consented to personalised advertising, or you have refused tracking in your device settings, these partners receive only the limited information needed to serve non-personalised adverts and to prevent fraud.

Addendum 1 — California privacy rights

This addendum applies to residents of California and supplements the rest of this policy. It uses the terms defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended.

Disclosure and "sales"

We disclose the categories above to our service providers for business purposes, as described in Section 3. We do not exchange personal information for money. However, sharing identifiers and advertising activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law.

You can opt out of this at any time by refusing tracking in your device settings, by declining personalised advertising in our in-game consent prompt, or by emailing privacy@wispforgegames.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information". We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Your California rights

  • The right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes and the categories of recipients.
  • The right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to the exceptions in the statute.
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information we hold.
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

How to make a request

Email privacy@wispforgegames.com with the request you want to make. We will confirm receipt within ten business days and respond within forty-five days, extending by a further forty-five days where necessary and telling you if we do. To verify your identity we will ask you to provide information that matches what we already hold, such as your player ID or the email address linked to a purchase; we may decline a request we cannot verify.

An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf if they provide written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you to confirm it.

Shine the Light

California's "Shine the Light" law lets residents request details of personal information disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information for that purpose.

Do Not Track

There is no common industry standard for responding to browser "Do Not Track" signals, so our website does not respond to them. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
